Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This page explains what THREEVER is warranted to do, what it is not, and where our liability begins and ends. It applies to the browser application at threever.com/app and to the THREEVER desktop application for Windows.

1. What THREEVER is
THREEVER is a polygon modelling and UV editing application. It is a creative tool. It is not certified, validated or intended for use in any context where a failure could lead to death, personal injury, or serious physical, environmental or financial harm - including medical, automotive, aviation, industrial control, or safety-critical applications.
2. No warranty of fitness for a particular purpose
Software of this kind cannot be free of defects. We develop THREEVER carefully and test it before every release, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will meet your particular requirements, or that any defect will be corrected.
In particular, and without limiting anything in section 5 below, we do not warrant:
- that geometry, UV layouts, materials, baked texture maps or exported files will be free of defects, or suitable for any specific downstream pipeline, engine or manufacturing process;
- that files written by THREEVER will be readable by any third-party software, or that files written by third-party software will be read correctly by THREEVER;
- that a project saved in one version will open unchanged in a later one, although we take care that it should;
- that the application will run on any particular hardware. THREEVER requires a graphics processor supporting modern graphics APIs, and reports plainly at startup when it does not find one.
3. Back up your work
Please keep your own backups of anything you care about. The browser application stores projects in your browser's local storage, which you or your browser can clear, and which is lost if you clear site data or use private browsing. The desktop application stores projects on your own computer.
Export or save your work to a file you control, regularly. We cannot recover a project that has been lost, and no automatic saving mechanism - ours or anyone else's - is a substitute for a backup you made deliberately.
4. Availability of the online service
The browser application and the account service are provided without any guarantee of availability. Maintenance, technical faults and circumstances outside our control may make them temporarily unreachable. The desktop application does not require a connection and is unaffected by this.
5. Limitation of liability
We are fully liable, without limitation:
- for damage arising from injury to life, body or health caused by a negligent or intentional breach of duty by us or our legal representatives or agents;
- for other damage caused by intent or gross negligence on our part or on the part of our legal representatives or agents;
- under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz);
- for the absence of a characteristic for which we have expressly given a guarantee; and
- to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
For slight negligence, we are liable only where an obligation has been breached whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place, and on whose observance you may regularly rely (an essential contractual obligation). In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is foreseeable and typical for this kind of contract.
Any further liability for slight negligence is excluded.
6. Your statutory rights are not affected
Nothing on this page limits or excludes rights you have by law and which cannot be limited by agreement.
If you are a consumer, you have statutory warranty rights in respect of digital products under §§ 327 ff. of the German Civil Code (BGB). Those rights apply regardless of anything stated here, and the disclaimers in sections 2 and 4 do not reduce them.
7. Third-party software, formats and trademarks
THREEVER reads and writes several third-party file formats. Those formats are defined by their respective owners and may change; we implement them as accurately as we can, and section 2 applies to the result.
THREEVER is independently developed and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by Autodesk, Inc. 3ds Max is a trademark of Autodesk, Inc. Any other trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility or workflow.
8. External links
Our pages contain links to external websites over whose content we have no influence. We cannot accept liability for that content, for which the respective provider or operator is always responsible. Linked pages were checked for legal violations at the time of linking, and no unlawful content was apparent. Ongoing monitoring of linked pages without concrete evidence of an infringement is not reasonable to expect; we will remove such links promptly if we become aware of a violation.
9. Changes to this page
We may update this page as the product changes. The date at the top states when it was last revised. Changes do not apply retroactively to a purchase already made.
